Tids Lifeguards the Olympics 2012
yep the man spent 3 years training went through hell 5 interviews and spent most of his summer holidays
standing waterside just to make sure he contributed in the hosting of our country's greatest sporting event in years
....transported by his skateboard and dressed in grape and beige nylon no task was too much....or too small.
"it was great to be part of something so positive and so memorable. I was proud to be asked to help" he said

New Junior Lifeguard Course
If you want your kids to train with us then Tids will be running Junior Lifeguard Courses on every Wednesday and Friday/Saturday am (possibly) on the beach- lessons last approximately 2-2 1/2 hours. We are fully insured and certificated by SLSGB. Tids and Ash are both qualified coaches, as well as Tids being a lifeguard and trainer. Ash was part of the National Swim Team in his youth has a degree in Sports Science and works selling training analysis equipment to British Cycling and the Brazilian Olympic Team (as well as others). Tids is lifeguard at the Olympics as well as the London and World Triathalons. You can be sure your kids will be safe, have fun and will be challenged.This is a brand new qualification!!!!!
All we require is that they can swim 50m in open water (if not special arrangements can be made).

Soup Sup Surftech demo at Exmouth Beach Rescue !!!!!!
Congratulations to Lifeboatman Scott Ranft who won the outward leg on the Bark Laird 12'6" beating me
on the Jamie Mitchell 12'6" Latitude, followed by Maff on the Laird Bark 14ft and a special mention
for newcomer Mike Wall who made a teriffic effort in onshore winds waves and a 6 degree sea to complete
the race and stay on his new toy the 14ft Jamie Mitchell Navigator.
My personal favorite the downwind 14ft Laird is already on order as are a few more of the standout favorites.
Interest seems high on the Merrick and Pearson/Laird models> and Jim is due in town this weekend to collect his new Laird.
The Soup also went down well!

Exmouth Beach Rescue Vountary Lifeguards train on Tuesday evenings and Sunday Mornings
at their hut on the corner of Foxholes carpark. If you can swim well and would like to train
to become a lifeguard-we are accepting new members- so please call down or call in to either shop for details.
